Ethics Requirement
Michigan (MI) CPA must earn at least 4 hours in the subject area of ethics including at least 1 hour of MI-specific ethics every 2 years with a minimum of 2 hours of ethics every year.
Carry Over Credits
Excess credit can be carried forward up to 40 hours of CPE in the next year with a maximum of 2 hours in ethics and 8 hours in Accounting & Auditing.
Subject Area Restriction
Minimum 8 hours in Accounting & Auditing in every continuing education year.
50% of the total CPE that you earn in one continuing education year can be in self-study.
Eligible Learning Activities
Eligible learning activities include Group Program, Qualified instructor, Nanolearning, Noncredit Academic Course, For-Credit Academic Course (max 15 CE hours), Teacher/instructor role, Self-Study Program and more.
