License renewal period
The last day of the month is indicated by your certification period in the two-year cycle.
CE Reporting Cycle
Starts from the renewal date to the last day before the next renewal in the two-year cycle.
Ethics Requirement

Reporting
Starts from the renewal date to the last day before the next renewal in the two-year cycle.
License Renewal
CE credits must be completed within the two-year cycle, from your renewal date up to the day before the next renewal. Report your CE hours to the CFP Board before this period ends to avoid certification expiration; a six-day grace period is allowed for last-minute submissions, but late reports incur a $75 penalty.
Carry Forward
Carry forward of excess CE is not allowed.
Record Retention
Maintain records of completed CE credits for 4 years as they may be subject to audit by the state board.
