120 CPP Recertification Credit Hours (RCHs)

Carry Over Credits
Certified Payroll Professionals cannot carry excess RCH credits over from the next reporting cycle.

The 5-year renewal period deadline is December 31. A $25 late fee applies if renewed between February 15 and June 1, and a $60 fee applies after June 1, both plus the $150 recertification fee. View more

The CPP should keep accurate records of programs attended and necessary documentation for recertification. Retain these records as long as needed for compliance and audits.
