Very Good. I couldn't wait to call a client because something I learned I needed to communicate with them right away.

I learned many differences between last year and this years update in 1040s. The speaker demonstrated his understanding of the subject through examples and personal experience.

The course presenter did a good job of presenting the course material given the amount of time allotted for the course. He's evidently an expert on the subject matter of the course. My problem was that I didn't have enough recent experience in basis calculations for pass-through entity owners to keep up with the presenter. I've had a reasonable amount of exposure overall to the subject of basis calculations for pass-through entity owners during my years as a public accountant. However, the pace the presenter lectured at was too rapid for me. I found it to be at a more advanced level than I was comfortable with. Probably if the presenter delivered the course material in a way that more closely resembled the college classes I took, in which we studied no more than one or two chapters of the course book at a time, I could've completed the case problems on my own successfully. It's safe to say that, even though I have my own CPA practice, I'm more accustomed to a college learning environment than I was to this course. In that regard, if the other participants and I discussed the material covered during the course, along with the presenter, albeit remotely, I could've learned more of what I needed to learn while the course was being taught. As far as questions that the presenter answered are concerned, I remember that he referred to one question that a participant asked, but he didn't make mention of it again or discuss the question and answer. It didn't appear that the participants, including myself, felt that there was enough time to ask questions, given the fast pace and the highly condensed nature of the course. As it was, I ended up taking this course primarily to gain CPE credit, which wasn't my overall objective when taking CPE courses. I would've gotten more out of this course if I took it on a self-study basis. I'd benefit from being able to listen to a recording of this course, for no additional CPE credit of course. If that option isn't available, I may need to take the course over again and record it with a Zoom account.

It was an ok seminar and instructor was totally fine. However, it was more at a beginning level that I did not need.
