Course Description

Course Description

An S corporation, also known as an S subchapter, refers to a type of corporation that meets specific Internal Revenue Code requirements. If it does, it may pass directly to shareholders, without having to pay federal corporate taxes. Usually associated with small businesses, S Corp status effectively gives a business the regular benefits of incorporation while enjoying the tax-exempt privileges of a partnership.

This CE/CPE E-Book is designed to raise tax professionals' awareness of all of the concepts and requirements needed to successfully operate an S Corporation.

The primary benefit of filing as an S corporation with the IRS is that you avoid double taxation, as this is considered a pass-through entity. A business that files as an S-Corp isn't taxed by the federal government.

Attendees of this CE/CPE E-Book will better understand the benefits and downfalls of S Corps to help clients make better decisions, legally pay less in taxes, and keep more money in their business.

The recent situations have come with a lot of changes in the laws governing business entities. It not only covers the updates in the law but its practical application such as submission as well. Especially in the case of S Corporation, there have been significant changes that have affected the operations and tax aspects in a major way. This E-Book encompasses major updates that are significant for the S corporation. Further, it takes a business perspective that can help you in your practice.

About Company

DKK Accounting, Inc.

www.dkkaccounting.com/

DKK Accounting started when Dale K. Koglin, CPA, EA, ATA, ATP obtained his first corporate client before he was drafted by the United States Army. After being honorably discharged he returned to his accounting practice and continued to further his education in accounting. Later, he ended up purchasing an income tax business where he learned the complexities of preparing tax returns for farmers. Having been Dale K. Koglin Accounting for many years he partnered with another professional and became D&W Accounting. When his partner passed away the firm name changed back to Dale K. Koglin Accounting. Serving several clients over the many years by himself, and having no luck with employees in the past, he decided to take a chance on a young man and offered him a mentorship. Having forged a bond between them after years of working together he decided to pass the torch and name him as his successor. When Dale passed away in 2015 he had been in business for over 59 years! After his passing the firm name changed once again to DKK Accounting in order to modernize the business while keeping his legacy alive.
