Are you working on Excel? Or is it working for you? In this online CPE webinar Excel expert David H. Ringstrom, CPA shares nearly three dozen different shortcuts for reclaiming your day in Excel. David will cover keyboard shortcuts, mouse techniques, and will show you how to unearth hidden features within Microsoft Excel. He also offers an open forum for questions, so feel free to share what’s slowing you down in Excel.

David demonstrates every technique at least twice in this continuing education course: first, on a PowerPoint slide with numbered steps, and second, in the Microsoft 365 (formerly known as Office 365) version of Excel. David draws your attention to any differences in the older versions of Excel (2019, 2016, 2013, and earlier) during the online webinar as well as in his detailed handouts. David also provides an Excel workbook that includes most of the examples he uses during the online continuing education course.

Microsoft 365 is a subscription-based product that provides new feature updates as often as monthly. Conversely, the perpetual licensed versions of Excel have feature sets that don’t change. Perpetual licensed versions have year numbers, such as Excel 2019, Excel 2016, and so on.

I enjoyed this webinar and learned a few new shortcuts. The instructor and host were both great and attentive to questions. The handout materials are very informative on their own and will be very useful as quick reference guides to help prompt my memory when needed. The instructor used the handout to talk us through the steps, and then followed up by showing us. I am a person that needs to read through steps first and then follow up by watching someone and then going through the steps myself. In this webinar, I had plenty of time to do the steps myself while the instructor was going through them a second time. It was perfect for my learning style.

Although I am retired, I like to keep up my skills; besides I like learning about Excel which I also use for my volunteer and personal use. I liked the variety of the tips that he shared. I had discovered only of few of these on my own so this added to my knowledge. Presentation well paced and also liked that he shared some of the "pitfalls or problems" one can encounter when using these tips.

Instructor was great, very good facilitator. I don't believe there is ever "enough" time for a topic like this, so that is my only drawback, which isn't really a drawback. He covers lots of materials and is super helpful when he walks through the material. Appreciate everything learned, always able to pick up something new and will use what I learned immediately.
