It is what it advertised to be. Professional quality training and CPE tracking and certificates; systems knows AZ CPA CPE requirements and categories. I've needed help on several occasions and the assistance was quick and effective; however, there were some problems with data entry. The assistance sometimes asks for input, but when I try to type it is dissallowed for some reason. On several occasions I had to close the popup to get it out of my way.

Pat Garverick is a Certified Public Accountant who currently lives in the Phoenix, Arizona area. He began his career in public accounting in 1988 after obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Accounting from The Ohio State University. After receiving his Master of Taxation (MT) degree from Arizona State University in 1992, Mr. Garverick began operating his own tax and financial planning business. He also started writing, reviewing, and teaching tax and financial planning continuing professional education courses around the country.
In addition to being a CPA, Pat is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). This role serves to enhance the knowledge he brings as he writes and presents continuing education material. Mr. Garverick is a member of the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Pat has presented continuing education sessions throughout the country and has won awards for both his skills as an instructor as well as for the content he has created. His knowledge, expertise, and high energy have made him one of the profession’s most highly rated speakers. The seminar is very organized, with a lot of information, very structured and provides a solid foundation for the tax preparers. The instructor's goal is to direct the participants' attention to all the important points of the topic. I will strongly recommend this seminar to everyone who would like to increase his professional knowledge truly to a new level.

I intentionally sought out seminars that Mr. Garverick would be conducting in this subject matter. I feel that the course provided in-depth and valuable information going into the tax season in a couple of weeks. I have saved the seminar materials and know that i will be using them throughout the upcoming season and year. AS seasoned as I am in the tax 'arena', I was able to learn information that I thought I knew thoroughly in a different, valuable light.

Federal Tax Update by Pat was easy to follow because he had summarized it in about 120 pages, by chapter, by topic. Kept my attention and I close the books monthly, not a tax person. I consider federal taxes to be a foundational subject that every CPA should revisit because it tracts the nuances of our country, our values and equities. The new energy credits are a prime example. Pat made clear distinction between prior, current and yet to be effective.

I really enjoyed attending the seminar. There was a lot of useful information that will help prepare me for this coming up tax season. Even though there was a lot of material that was gone over, the PDF that was provided its extremely helpful, to go back and look up the notes that I took during the lecture. I hope he is presenting again next year for the 2025 tax update, and I will definitely be signing up and joining again next year.
