Course Description

It’s easy to find articles declaring automation “the death of the accountant.” But you should really think of it as more of an evolution than an extinction. Accountants aren't going anywhere, and they have a new opportunity to get more from their efforts.

Modern software unlocks the full potential of accountants and finance teams. They can now easily move past many of the slow, tedious tasks they’re often forced to endure. With accurate, up-to-date data on hand, accountants can be the trusted, impactful business partners their companies need.

A progressive shift has been taking place within organizations, and this change has been in the works long before the current pandemic.

Finance automation solutions are enabling corporations to embrace this change: to increase efficiency, improve accuracy, and decrease risk. Accountants are unleashed to be more proactive, focus on complex and judgmental areas, and drive strategic business decisions.

This is what modern accounting looks like:

  • Processes are automated
  • Data is connected
  • The role of the accountant is elevated.

The accounting team’s value expands beyond executing checklists and historical reporting to include proactive analytics and a seat at the (decision-making) table. We call it the role of the exceptional accountant.

Key topics covered in this online CPE webinar:

  • How to gain transparency and visibility into financial operations?
  • How to understand your organization’s potential and future outlook?
  • How to mitigate risk and manage business complexity by leveraging leading practices?
  • How to gain efficiency and cost savings, all while retaining top talent?
  • How to access neatly packaged close activities from a centralised system that locks down controls and ensures segregation of duties?
  • How to reduce manual inputs and use automation to enable timely financial results?

Learning Objectives

  • To employ best practices, resulting in a better utilized, more efficient organization that focuses on risk management, compliance, and data analytics
  • To transform the way accounting departments, work by reducing fewer rewarding tasks, resulting in better attraction and engagement of top talent
  • To discuss the power of automation and how it strengthens accounting organizations
