Course Description

Despite the international tax filing requirements and IRS penalty calculations remaining unchanged, claim severity is on the rise. So, the question arises: what factors are contributing to this increase in severity?

This course will delve into the intricacies of international tax filings and discuss the escalating trend of malpractice claims against CPA firms. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the high-stakes nature of international tax filings. We will discuss the various forms, such as Form 3520, Form 5471, Form 8865, and the notorious FBAR (Form 114), outlining their specific requirements and potential pitfalls.

Optimizing engagement letters, tax organizers, and checklists to cover comprehensive international tax requirements will be explored, ensuring that nothing slips through the cracks. By the end of the course, you will be equipped with the knowledge and strategies needed to minimize the risk of malpractice claims and enhance compliance with international tax regulations.
