I enjoyed the course and will take more. I especially want to learn more about QBO since so many clients are moving in that direction. Many client entries are done incorrectly because they do not understand how it works. It is an accountant's job to educate his/her clients. I even have some clients making changes to the PY transactions while I am working and posting AJE's. I wish there was a way I could lock their access to the PY while I am working on preparing their data to enter into our tax program. Once I'm done I can always do a YE closing but, while I am working on the tax year preparation, I don't want them to be making changes.

While the first part was informative and exactly what I was looking for, I did not appreciate having to sit through 20 minutes of advertising. If the system had stopped counting time at that point so I could take the final exam, I probably still would have listened to it while I was taking the exam but I don't know why I had to listen to an extra 20 min (that's almost 50% more) w no additional benefit for a 1 hr class.

Definitely not relevant to me as a bookkeeper. I wanted to learn more about QBO as we just started using it at my firm, but this webinar was directed more towards small business owners who wanted to do their own bookkeeping. A good 3 hours of the course was spent going over what different accounts on the balance sheet/income statement were for. Definitely not what I thought the course would be. The instructor was good, the information was just not relevant to me. Also, I have tried on three different computers to hear the audio. Every time I have to call in on my phone, and then it kept cutting in and out.

The program was supposed to be 210 minutes long, it ended very abruptly just under 180 minutes. The last section was repeated so the final 15 minutes were duplicated and therefore some of the topics that said they would be covered were not.

I found Alicia on YouTube a few months back and was excited to see he was the speaker for this webinar. She always has great insight on how to use QBO effectively and great tips to teach you how to be a power user. I hope he gets to have a part 2 so she gives us more QBO tips and tricks.

To introduce a computer program is a challenge. However, you need to make it interactive to not lose your audience, e.g. have the audience do a certain operation themselves. Furthermore, there were no slides at all other than the handout. A computer program intro must switch between theoretical handout / slides and program itself and interaction. The presenter failed here completely. Furthermore, the presenter's screen was blurred and not legible at my end.
