Conference Overview

We are approaching the time of year again when many internal audit departments around the world initiate their audit planning process for the upcoming calendar year.

Internal audit is one of the functions at the heart of transformation and adaptation to new realities. But all too often, risk and regulation are afterthoughts. They are sometimes viewed as staid necessities that slow down the business. Internal audit teams are rising to the challenge by increasing their adoption of digital technologies that help to combat fraud risk in their organizations.

The truth is, however, when you address risk and regulation in a disciplined way, through the eyes of all stakeholders, it doesn't hold you back - it gives you the freedom to move faster and anticipate.

People want to do business with and work for organizations they trust. The way we see it, trust is the ultimate business enabler, and your Internal Audit function can help create it by actively anticipating risks and opportunities and detecting system failures before it is too late.

This CPE Virtual Conference will give you insights in the most recommended areas to be included in your audit plan for 2023.

Internal audit is a forward-looking audit function that should provide insight, oversight, and foresight around an organization’s current and future risk and control. Especially, in a modern-day fast-paced cut-throat business environment an internal auditor is required to stay relevant despite the technology-enabled business transformation.

Internal auditors live in a world of risk. They are charged with helping organizations determine whether controls are in place to reduce risks in various processes and operations. They look for holes, inefficiencies, inconsistencies, and regulatory compliance issues. Internal auditors for companies, not-for-profits, and governments are facing new risks and areas of concern. From changing accounting standards, inflation, rising interest rates, workforce issues, COVID issues, regulatory issues, crime issues, supply chain issues, IT security, and financial risk issues.

What should internal auditors be doing to identify these issues within their organization?

What are some best practices to include in their internal audit programs?

Join this CPE session by Robert Minniti to discuss the latesttrends and issues that internal auditors are facing in 2023.
