California CPAs CPE Requirement Highlights:

• 80 hours every two years, with 20 hours yearly minimum.
• 100% can be completed through self-study.

Minimum and maximum CPE subject area requirement:

• Min. 40 hours (50%) in technical subjects, with 12 hours yearly minimum.
• Max. 40 hours of CE (50%) in non-technical subject areas.
• 4 hours of ethics.

• Reporting Cycle—From the first day of the month following the birth month to the last business day of the birth month biennially, oddly, or evenly year based on the license expiration date.
• Courses must be from NASBA-approved Providers.
