We will discuss how it occurs, with real examples from the news. We will discuss the red flags for identifying procurement as well as the internal controls a government can put in place to help prevent and detect procurement fraud.
Procurement fraud has been a longstanding risk for both private businesses and government agencies. This type of fraud occurs very often and is not easy to detect, prove, or prosecute in court because of the many parties involved, especially internal parties. It is also the most difficult type of fraud to be eradicated.

I was a government contract audit for 36 years and took significant training over the years including even as a field instructor. This course was an excellent overall fraud course that had current examples and addressed fraud. Could more courses such as these be offered?
