CTEC APPROVED CE PROVIDER FOR CRTP

MY-CPE LLC is approved by CALIFORNIA TAX EDUCATION COUNCIL (CTEC) to offer continuing education courses for California Tax Professionals (CTP) . MY-CPE LLC has effectively met the standards set up by the CTEC for continuing education programs Our CTEC approved CE courses are authored/reviewed by industry specialists and subject matter experts. Understanding important tax topics and their applications will help you better serve your clients, and taking courses on important topics including ethics, identity theft, the gig economy, and federal tax updates will make you a more well-rounded tax professional in the state of California.

CE REQUIREMENTS FOR TAX PREPARERS IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

All tax preparers in the state of California are required to complete 20 hours of CTEC approved continuing education.

  • 10 hours of federal tax law topics
  • 3 hours of tax law updates,
  • 2 hours of Federal ethics
  • 5 hours of California taxation

This education must be taken from a CTEC approved curriculum provider and completed by October 31 of each year. If more than 2 hours of Ethics are earned in a given year, up to 2 hours can be carried forward to the following year.

ETHICS REQUIREMENT FOR CRTP

2 hours of Ethics credit must be earned each year. If more than 2 hours of Ethics are earned in a given year, up to 2 hours can be carried forward to the following year.

Tax preparers in the state of California can receive CE credits for
