All FPCs are required to complete at least 60 RCHs during the 3-year recertification period. Many of our programs in Live and Self-Study are approved for continuing education for Fundamental Payroll Certification.

myCPE meets all the RCH requirements of FPCs as per APA.
No, there are no minimum RCH requirements in a particular subject area.
RCHs can be earned by participating as an attendee or facilitator in most of the seminars or programs designed and administered by the APA. An FPC may attend pre-approved third-party educational activities offered by Approved Providers, APA Local Chapters, and accredited colleges and universities.
All programs presented by organizations other than APA should be pre-approved by APA before submission toward recertification.

It is not necessary to submit all documentation for proof of completion when recertifying. However, the certificate is fully responsible for retaining all documentation (certificates, letters of completion, official transcripts, etc.) and submitting it to APA's Certification Department if they are randomly selected for a mandatory audit.
The FPC is responsible for maintaining an accurate record of each program attended along with the required documentation as outlined above that qualifies for FPC recertification.
The license renewal fee is $100 and it is non-refundable.
An FPC can complete 100% of the total required RCH credits hours via self-study courses. i.e., a Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) can complete all 60 RCHs via self-study courses from APA-approved RCH sponsors as myCPE is approved by APA (Approval number 372961).
No, the Short video (Nano learning) method is not approved for the RCH requirements of Fundamental Payroll Certification.
No, Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) cannot carry over excess credit earned in a particular renewal cycle.
If the individual did not complete the 60 hours of RCH requirements by December 3, he/she will not qualify for recertification through continuing education. In such a case, the FPC designation will be removed from APA's records. To become certified again, the individual must retake and pass the appropriate exam.

For FPCs recertifying for the first time, the recertification period begins the day certification is attained through December 31, three full calendar years.
myCPE provides courses that are approved for recertification credit hours by APA. Based on the guidelines issued by these boards regarding RCH Requirements we recommend the programs/ webinars be suitable for APA specified in each webinar. However, it will be the responsibility of each attendee to ensure that they are eligible for the Continuing Education Credits based on their occupation/ job profile, knowledge requirements as well as guidelines laid down by their regulatory board before registering for the webinars.
