J. Kevin A. McKechnie, is the founder and Executive Director of the Health Savings Account (HSA) Council at the American Bankers Association. He is also Senior Vice President & Director of the American Bankers Association’s Office of Insurance Advocacy. He joined ABA in 2000 after serving as the Government Relations Representative for the Affinity Services Division of Marsh & McLennan and also as Director of Government Relations for International Financial Services, a wealth management and insurance consulting firm. He served as Legislative Director to former Congressman William Dannemeyer of California. Kevin holds a BA in History and Political Science from York University in Toronto, Canada.

Partner, Emerging Markets Coalition
Linda Odom, a partner in K&L Gates' Washington, DC office, has over 25 years' experience in financial services
technology representing banks, credit unions, payments companies and fintechs. She focuses on helping
structure diverse payment programs to meet or limit regulatory requirements and then drafting partner, vendor
and customer contracts and disclosures to meet business and regulatory compliance goals. As a decades-long
intellectual property/technology lawyer, her understanding of the underlying payments technologies allows her to
be more effective in advising clients and negotiating commercial transactions in these areas. In the last few years
Linda has focused on faster payments, fintech M&A due diligence and cryptocurrency and cannabis payments.
Linda resides in Charlottesville, Virginia where she is active in the Election Protection Coalition (866-OUR-VOTE)
and as a drummer in several local bands.
Co-Founder & CEO, Emerging Markets Coalition
Kirsten Trusko is the CEO and Co-Founder of Emerging Markets Coalition (EMC)– an organization focused on normalizing financial services for underserved markets, currently focused on cannabis related industries. She’s spent a career in FinTech and cutting-edge financial services. Relevant to her current EMC role, previously she’s led the successful drive to normalize marginalized and/or underserved markets and helped drive advocacy to change legislation and regulation in emerging markets.
Her prior roles include building and running financial services businesses: CEO of NBPCA (industry alliance), CEO of IRC Advisory (management consulting in FinTech, payments – especially market entry in underserved/high risk markets), KPMG Consulting, and operational and marketing roles with banks, manufacturing, and finance companies.
Kirsten’s pro-bono work is in anti-human trafficking – especially engaging the financial services industry to partner with law enforcement and government to find and follow the money trail.
