Delve into the core of financial reporting with our online course. It unpacks the intricacies of Management's Discussion & Analysis (MD&A), a pivotal section within SEC-filed financial statements. As a focal point for the SEC's scrutiny, MD&A consistently garners significant attention, frequently prompting comment letters. This webinar provides an essential understanding of the regulations guiding MD&A, emphasizing its critical role in financial disclosures for public entities.
Throughout this CPE Accounting course, participants gain invaluable insights into the prominence of MD&A in the SEC's assessment of public company filings. While grasping the requirements outlined in Item 303 is essential, the course emphasizes the significance of benchmarking against industry peers. The learning objectives are multifaceted, aimed at empowering participants to identify the applicable SEC Regulation for MD&A, recognize its primary objectives and focus areas, understand crucial elements for inclusion, identify relevant transactions for discussion, and enhance the presentation of MD&A.
This structured course by Kelen Camehl covers various aspects, including the objectives of MD&A, Item 303 requirements encompassing fiscal year details, liquidity, capital resources, and critical accounting estimates. Through illustrative examples and perspectives from both the SEC and industry leaders, the program offers a comprehensive approach to comprehending the complexities surrounding MD&A in financial disclosures.
