We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Manager – US Accounting to lead client engagements, oversee financial operations, and manage high-performing teams. This role requires deep expertise in US accounting, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering exceptional client service while ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Lead finalization of accounts and preparation of accurate financial statements
• Oversee financial review, variance analysis, and management reporting
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries
• Maintain compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements

Compliance & Taxation

• Supervise payroll processing and compliance, including filings of Forms 940 and 941
• Oversee sales tax computations and timely filing of returns
• Ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements

Client Management & Service Delivery

• Manage end-to-end client engagements with a focus on service excellence
• Act as the primary point of contact for US clients and stakeholders
• Proactively identify and resolve client issues, anomalies, and non-routine transactions
• Ensure consistent delivery aligned with defined service standards

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Associates, Senior Associates, and Team Leads
• Drive team performance, productivity, and professional development
• Conduct training sessions and support skill enhancement initiatives
• Oversee onboarding of new clients and guide team members through transitions

Process Improvement & Project Management

• Review and optimize client workflows and internal processes
• Implement monitoring systems to ensure efficiency and quality control
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables
• Drive automation and adoption of best practices across engagements

Qualifications

• CA / Inter CA (Dropout) / CPA
• 5+ years of experience in US Accounting, with at least 3+ years in a team management role

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles
• Hands-on experience with cloud accounting tools such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Accounting CS
• Excellent command of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong client handling and stakeholder management skills
• Exceptional communication (written and verbal)
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
• Strong organizational and project management skills
