We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager – US Accounting to support client engagements, manage accounting operations, and lead a team to deliver high-quality financial services. The role requires strong technical knowledge of US accounting, hands-on execution, and the ability to manage client relationships while ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Handle finalization of accounts and preparation of financial statements
  • Perform financial review and support management reporting
  • Post and review month-end and year-end journal entries
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data

Compliance & Taxation

  • Manage payroll compliance and filings, including Forms 940 and 941
  • Prepare and review sales tax workings and ensure timely return filings
  • Maintain adherence to US GAAP and regulatory requirements

Client Management

  • Act as a key point of contact for clients and ensure timely communication
  • Deliver consistent client service aligned with organizational standards
  • Identify and resolve client queries, discrepancies, and non-routine items

Team Management & Development

  • Manage and mentor a team of Associates and Senior Associates
  • Support onboarding of new clients and guide team members during transitions
  • Conduct training sessions and actively contribute to team development
  • Monitor team performance and ensure quality deliverables

Process & Workflow Management

  • Review and manage workflows across multiple client engagements
  • Implement and maintain effective monitoring and control mechanisms
  • Ensure quality control through timely review of deliverables
  • Assist in project management and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • CA / Inter CA (Dropout) / CPA
  • 4+ years of experience in US Accounting
  • Minimum 3+ years of team handling experience

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles
  • Experience with cloud accounting tools such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Accounting CS
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong client management and communication skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
