Abiding by a professional code of ethics ensures mutual trust between clients and professionals. CPAs have significant responsibilities, requiring a solid understanding of their ethical duties.
The AR Board of Public Accountants mandates that all active CPAs review at least one hour of Arkansas rules every three years. This CPE course will fulfil this 1-hour CPE requirement.
This CPE Course will cover critical ethical standards and obligations required of CPAs practicing in Arkansas. Our focus will be on understanding the Code's structure and the practical implications of its rules. The Code is divided into four main sections: Independence, Integrity, and Objectivity; Competence and Technical Standards; Responsibilities to Clients; and Other Responsibilities and Practices. Each section provides crucial guidelines designed to uphold the public trust in the accounting profession.
In this CPE Course, we will examine Rules 301 through 412, addressing client responsibilities and business practices. Rule 301 requires strict confidentiality of client information, while Rule 407 involves transparency in referrals to associated entities. Furthermore, we’ll discuss the requirements under Rule 412 for reporting criminal convictions or disciplinary actions.

Not a bad presentation; however, the final review question prior to the exam was missing a "not" so the question was confusing. i would still recommend the course.
