Arkansas CPAs CPE Requirements Highlights:

CPAs can choose between either the 40-hour or 120-hour rule each year:

40 hours annually:

Max. 80% (32 hours) in Self-Study webinars.
Min. 40% (16 hours) for Public Accountants and 20% (8 hours) for Non-Public Accountants in accounting, accounting ethics, attest, or taxation for Public Accountants.
4 hours of ethics, incl. 1 hour of AR-specific rules and laws

120 hours every 3 years:

Max. 80% (96 hours) in Self-Study webinars.
Min. 40% (48 hours) for Public Accountants and 20% (24 hours) for Non-Public Accountants in accounting, accounting ethics, attest, or taxation for Public Accountants.
4 hours of ethics

Other requirements:

Reporting Cycle - January 1st to 31st December annually.
Courses must be from NASBA-approved Providers.

Note: This 40 CPE package provides 4 hours of an ethics course for Arkansas CPAs, but the attendees will be required to complete one hour of CPE on Arkansas State Board of Public Accountancy-specific laws and rules. This requirement may be satisfied by completing a web-based course via the Board's website or attending group training taught by a board member, board staff member, or a designee of the Board, and will count towards the 4-hour ethics requirement.

CPE REQUIREMENTS :

120 hours of CPE is required over a three-year period or 40 hours of CPE annually.
