Joe Holbrook has focused his career on the specialty tax areas of R&D tax credits, accounting methods, fixed assets, and tax controversy to defend these claims. He began his career in Ernst & Young's Quantitative Services group doing R&D tax credit studies and accounting method changes in Houston, Texas. He then came back to Utah to work for a local firm, but missed the specialized projects and rejoined his EY team remotely from the Salt Lake City office. Since then, he worked in a similar role as a Manager at PwC and most recently as a Senior Manager in Eide Bailly's National Tax Practice. 

In October of 2020, Joe took the plunge to follow his dream of starting his own CPA firm, Kings Peak Tax Consulting.  He loves the technical challenge and the positive impact these special tax projects can have for CPA firms and company owners.

Joe graduated with a Master of Accountancy, Tax from the Brigham Young University Marriott School of Management. He is also a member of the AICPA and UACPA.
