Course Overview

Great leadership seems easy when things are good and everybody's happy. When times grow tough, however, a leader's true colors are revealed. Leading through hard times requires resilience and more. There are many things you need to do as a leader: strategize, build relationships, influence others, and get results. But when times are tough, what does your team need from you?

Leading through challenges with resilience allows you to do more than survive in the short-term; it sets you and your team up for success so that they can ultimately thrive. Regardless of your title or industry, one thing is certain: At some point, your team or organization will face adversity. The key to weathering these inevitable storms.

One of the greatest stories of leadership in difficult time is Winston Churchill during World War II and the bombing of London. As the city was bombed consecutively for 7 nights Churchill, declared, “We will never surrender.” Every time he was seen in public, he would hold up his hand in a victory symbol, with the now famous “V”. People were so lifted up, they began to chip in, care for their neighbors and learn how to nurse and care for people.

This webinar is designed to address the many complexities of leading during times of crisis. 2020 was an unprecedented year and organizations of all types struggled to balance the proper way to lead their people and strategize their business. Lynn Fountain has over 39 years of experience spanning public accounting, corporate accounting and consulting. 20 years of her experience has been working in the areas of internal and external auditing and risk management. She is a subject matter expert in multiple fields including internal audit, ethics, fraud evaluations, Sarbanes-Oxley, enterprise risk management, governance, financial management and compliance.  Lynn has held two Chief Audit Executive (CAE) positions for international companies.   In one of her roles as CAE, she assisted in the investigation of a multi-million-dollar fraud scheme perpetrated by a vendor that spanned 7 years and implicated 20 employees.  The fraud was formally investigation by the FBI and resulted in 5 indictments estimating a $13M fraud loss.

Ms. Fountain is currently engaged in her own consulting and training practice.  She has successfully executed on several consulting assignments spanning areas of accounting, risk, ERM and internal audit.  She is a highly sought-after trainer and international speaker and has produced hundreds of courses delivered through seminars, conferences and on-demand training.  She is the author of three separate technical books.
