Course Overview

This CPE webinar provides a concise overview and explanation of the Multiverse, Metaverse, and Omniverse and their impact on the accounting profession.

While futurists, computer scientists, and digital asset economists have been predicting and describing use cases and investment in digital assets have had various levels of interest from specific industries, the impact on accountants has received little attention in large part resulting from a lack of guidance from regulators.

Companies, cities, and countries have announced ambitious plans to enable people access to digital environments, digital assets, and convenient experiences through different devices. While perceived by many as science fiction, Extended Reality (XR) environments are being introduced and adopted within the healthcare, engineering, military, and first responder professions.

Join this CPE Information Technology webinar to understand the difference between a Multiverse, the Metaverse, and the Omniverse with a brief insight into their transforming of the modern business world and what accountants need to understand to succeed in the emerging economics of digital assets within the digital dimension.

Key topics covered in this CPE course:

  • Understanding what the metaverse is and what it is not.
  • How to access and the mapping of several virtual platforms?
  • Why accounts and other professionals should be aware of virtual environments and what they contain?
  • Where accountants can find their space?
  • How the extended reality (XR) is changing the way we work?
  • Ownership of digital assets in XR.
  • Regulators and Taxation in XR.

I have no way of rating this instructor. He is probably brilliant and effective in a university graduate school environment. I am not the one to judge.
