Course Description

Traditional accounting measures have many challenges in being effective for corporate performance management. Many organizations are far from where they want to be. They need some method to apply intelligence mixed with intuition with data rather than just core or raw data to make an important decision.

Activity-based costing applied correctly and methodically can serve to be an avenue for corporate performance management in the opinion of our learned speaker Gary Cokins, an internationally recognized expert and author in corporate performance management, performance improvement methods, and business analytics.

In this online CPE webinar on finance, Gary helps us with the corporate performance management methods that can help with seamless integration of managerial methods such as:

  • Strategy execution with a strategy map
  • The balanced scorecard (KPIs)
  • Enterprise risk management (ERM)
  • Driver-based budgets
  • Rolling financial forecasts for product, service-line & channel
  • Customer profitability analysis (using activity-based costing [ABC] principles)
  • Customer lifetime value (CLV)
  • Six Sigma quality management for operational improvement

Each of these methods can provide the best results in terms of insight and analytics to yield the best – ideally optimal - decisions. This webinar provides an overview of the full version of analytics-based corporate performance management. It will help you with the ability to perform predictive accounting for driver-based budgeting/rolling financial forecasts, what-if scenario analysis, and outsourcing decisions.
