Sure, you know you have to take your two hours of ethics every year, but really what’s the big deal?
Join us in this CPE webinar as we try to answer the question of “what’s the big deal” and what it means to be an ethical preparer.
Professional conduct and ethical behavior are the backbones of the accounting and auditing profession. They are the components that form the foundation upon which our creditability with the general public is built. Without this foundation, there is no profession.
Irrespective of whether you are a practitioner in public accounting or business or industry, you are mandatorily required to act following the requirements that define professional conduct and ethical behavior.
CPAs must seamlessly transition to a profession that relies heavily on conformance with technical and ethical standards. CPAs must seek to serve the public interest with a strong sense of character, integrity, competence, and due professional care. In addition, CPAs must appropriately safeguard any threats to independence and objectivity
Attendees in this CPE ethics course will explore real-world situations to take the ethical from the theoretical to the practical, and hopefully have some fun along the way!
