Risk is a necessary part of doing business and in a world where enormous amounts of data are being processed at increasingly rapid rates, identifying and mitigating risks is a challenge for any company. Historically, HR has been most effective at dealing with regulatory compliance and less effective at dealing with the strategic aspects of risk and, most importantly, connecting risk management to strategic success.

To be effective, HR risk management must have a broader approach, including strategic planning risks and the risks created by daily operations.

A constant in today’s corporate culture is changing. With change comes an increase in risk. Today’s HR professionals must have an awareness and understanding of these risks.
