Jason Dinesen (EA, LPA) is a tax nerd, entrepreneur, tax expert and a well known presenter of continuing education courses. Jason was born and raised in Iowa and has a degree in corporate communications from Simpson College in Indianola. He has a big family that includes his wife, two sons, 5 cats and 3 dogs. Jason holds season tickets to University of Iowa football, and enjoys using his chainsaw. Topmost item in his 2022 bucket list is to learn how to properly ‘nose & taste’ whisky.

Nicholas has worked with the Internal Revenue Service as a Revenue Agent and an Attorney with the IRS Office of Professional Responsibility. Nicholas has authored publications for the AICPA’s Journal of Accountancy, AICPA’s Tax Advisor, NATP’s Tax Pro Journal, and CCH’s Journal of Tax Practice and Procedure. He also co-authored a textbook, Tax Preparer Penalties and Circular 230 Enforcement, published by Thomson Reuters. Nicholas has been recognized as the Top 5 Under 35 CPAs in Virginia, and is a member of the AICPA’s Tax Executive Committee. Nicholas is an adjunct professor at the University of Mary Washington. He is a graduate of Carthage College, University of Connecticut (M.S. in Accounting), Case Western Reserve University School of Law (J.D.), and Georgetown University (LLM in Taxation).

This was a good update on forms needed to be completed within a short period of time. Since electronic filing and the Form 1099-K are "relatively new", it was a good refresher. The ERC is always a good topic as a reminder of the potential pitfalls of not using a reputable provider.

The webinar had a lot of great, practical tips on a variety of topics. A great use of time if you want to get a quick overview of some real-life issues going on in the world of tax.

I see many ads on tv about the employee retention credit. This webinar helped with what I was seeing. The instructors were very good.

ERC is a complex credit with what appears to be a lot of scammers. Will evaluate "consultants" for clients.
