Course Description

Performance coaching often plays a crucial role in performance management, evaluation, and performance reviews. Through performance coaching, managers can guide workers through what they should do, how they should behave, and strategies to measure success. Workers cannot achieve the necessary results if they are unclear. Performance coaching clarifies what measurable results should be achieved.

The "Manager-As-Coach" approach means managers act as coaches for those reporting to them, such as individuals or teams. Rather than controlling their employees and telling them what to do, as a coach, a manager provides the necessary support and mentorship and facilitates their employees' development. However, a high-performance coach/manager needs the mindset to coach.

This online CPE performance management webinar will define performance coaching and present the approach of "Manager-As-Coach."

The presenters will review the differences between directive and non-directive coaching from the "High-Performance Coaching Model," describe the Directive Coach's Asset Wheel and explain the coaching process using the "Manager-As-Coach" approach.
