Course Description

Course Description

The Federal Reserve maintains its key interest rate, signaling potential future cuts in 2024 and beyond.

The Federal Reserve, led by Jerome Powell, has been adjusting interest rates to control inflation. After high inflation in early 2023, interest rates were raised, resulting in a decrease in inflation to around 4%. The Fed has decided to pause interest rate hikes in recent sessions, contributing to a positive impact on various financial aspects.

This course will cover how the pause in interest rate hikes will likely make stocks more valuable, with the Dow Industrial Average and the S&P 500 reaching new highs. It predicts improvements in mortgage rates, making home and car borrowing more accessible.  It will explain how interest rates shape investor psychology and link Fed decisions to potential layoffs and challenges in the housing market due to higher interest rates. Despite this, it sees a positive outlook with the recent pause in rate hikes, anticipating benefits for stocks, mortgages, credit cards, and more. Acknowledging lower interest rates' impact on returns, we will note ongoing market volatility amidst geopolitical events.

Join this CPE Finance course by Drew Stevens, it will highlight the Fed's 2% inflation goal and the uncertain economic landscape, hinting at the possibility of a recession.
