Jared currently serves as the Board Chair of the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants in addition to current and past roles on its executive committee and Foundation for Education & Innovation. He is also currently a member of Council for the Association of International Certified Public Accountants. In the past, he was a Board Director for Empower College Preparatory (a public charter school located in Central Phoenix serving inner-city youth), advisor to the Career in Technical Education Advisory Committee with Phoenix Union High School District and the State Board of Education, and Director of the Board for other Phoenix area non-profits.
Jared has presented to political parties at the Arizona legislature on income tax matters on behalf of the ASCPA and been featured on Arizona Horizon (PBS) to discuss income tax matters resulting from the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA).
He specializes in tax compliance, planning, and examination representation for individuals, estates, and trusts, and closely-held entities. In particular, he provides business and tax consulting, planning, regulatory compliance, and federal or state agency tax examination representation services. His practice mainly consists of closely-held entities, trusts, estate, and international taxpayers in many different industries including privately-owned publicly-regulated water and wastewater utilities, attorneys, physicians, real estate professionals, and manufacturing companies.
Jared obtained his Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from DeVry University.
