In this CPE Course, we will look at an overly technical and probably, to a degree, overwhelming definition of blockchain technology.
Blockchain technology is a decentralized, distributed digital ledger that uses cryptographic hashing and consensus mechanisms, such as Proof of Work (PoW) or Proof of Stake (PoS), to achieve consensus among network participants. This course provides an overview of blockchain technology and some of its implications for the accounting profession. It covers the fundamentals of blockchain, its applications in accounting, and the potential benefits and challenges. The course is designed for CPAs and accounting professionals seeking to understand blockchain technology and how it can potentially enhance their accounting processes.Â

He also serves as an Editorial Advisor for the AICPA’s "Journal of Accountancy". 
Kelen has nearly 20 years of progressive finance and accounting experience. He currently serves as a Principal in Accounting Policy with HP in Doha, Qatar. Prior to HP, he served in multiple accounting roles in the oil & gas industry with ConocoPhillips including technical accounting policy, SOX compliance, and internal audit. He also gained public accounting experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers, working with various clients in the energy, electric, power, gas, and utility sectors.

Would have liked to seen some actual computer screen shots of blockchain transactions. Have a hands-on experience inputting data and examining output would provide some viewable examples. Page number is confusing.
