MY-CPE LLC is an approved Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Provider and has effectively met the standards set up by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). No. of Credits: 

  • 40 credits of continuing professional education (CPE) every year for practicing status holders
  • 20 credits of continuing professional education (CPE) every year for non-practicing status holders

Minimum Requirements: 

  • 40 credits for practicing status holders 
  • 20 credits for non-practicing status holders

Carry Forward of the credits: Not Applicable

CE Reporting: Before 31 December each year


  • Certified Internal Auditor are required to complete 2 hours of Ethics CPE each year.
  • A variety of topics within the broader concept of ethics, such as conflicts of interest, transparency, or ethical leadership.

Ethics programs are not required to be approved from the Professional Certifications Board. In collaboration with the Professional Ethics and Responsibility Committee, the PCB has recommended that the courses need to be directly related to The Institute of Internal Auditors’ Code of Ethics.


CIA Professionals can receive CPE credit for completing:

  • Educational Programs​
  • Other qualifying activities such as Passing Examinations
  • Authoring or contributing to Publications     
  • Translating Publications
  • Delivering oral presentations
  • Participating as a Subject matter Expert Volunteer
  • Performing External Quality Assessments


The following Principal Knowledge Topics serve as requirement subjects that IIA accepts for Continuing Professional Education credit. Authoring publications

  • Six domains covering the foundation of internal auditing; independence and objectivity; proficiency and due professional care; quality assurance and improvement programs; governance, risk management, and control; and fraud risk
  • Managing the internal audit activity, planning the engagement, performing the engagement, and communicating engagement results and monitoring progress.
  • Four domains focused on business acumen, information security, information technology, and financial management.

myCPE provides courses that are approved for continuing professional education credits by Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). Based on the guidelines issued by these boards regarding Continuing Professional Education requirements we recommend the programs/ webinars to be suitable for CIAs specified in each webinar. However, it will be the responsibility of each attendee to ensure that they are eligible for the CPE Credits based on their occupation/ job profile, knowledge requirement as well as guidelines laid down by their regulatory board before registering for the webinars.
